What is Bella™, the ProZ.com Chrome extension?
Bella™ is a Chrome extension built for freelance linguists who use ProZ.com. It runs quietly in the background, polling your private ProZ jobs feed on a schedule, and notifies you the moment a new translation or interpreting job matches the language pairs you work with, without you having to keep ProZ.com open.
When a match arrives, you get a desktop alert. Open the Bella popup to preview job details, see the poster’s Blue Board “likelihood of working again” rating, and follow a one-click link straight to the job on ProZ.com to apply. Your feed link, language pairs, and job cache stay in Chrome’s local storage on your device and are never uploaded to a Bella server.

How often does it check for new ProZ jobs?
On the Free tier, Bella™ checks your ProZ job feed every 60 minutes, triggered automatically or when you tap Check now. Pro subscribers get checks every 5 minutes.
What are Smart Filters?
Smart Filters are a Pro feature that lets you narrow the jobs shown in your popup by Blue Board rating threshold, keywords in the job title or description, subject area, job type, and outsourcer name, so you only see the opportunities worth your time.
Where is my data stored?
Your settings, private feed link, and recent job cache are stored in Chrome’s local extension storage on your device. They are not uploaded to a Bella-owned server. Bella™ contacts ProZ.com to fetch your feed and contacts ExtensionPay to manage Pro subscription status. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
